About ProTrain

Bruce and Bernie Dekker are the owner operators of this small Registered Training Organisation. They have come from owning and operating a pest management business for the last 20 years in regional Queensland. Bruce got involved with training and assessment over 10 years ago as a part time role with Tafe Qld.

Bruce and Bernie started their own RTO in 2012 with the focus on trying to improve the level of training available to pest management businesses in Queensland.

Protrain provides Training, Assessment, Auditing, Mentoring and Consultancy services all over Australia and some neghbouring countries.

ProTrain provides services in the areas of

General Pest Management - Timber Pest Management - Fumigation

and all areas within the above three fields. 

Bruce's hands on training approach allows Protrain to adapt and develop training programs to suit businesses from singe operator to National companies. Protrain is often called on to assist with business compliance concerns as well as business improvement opportunities.

Protrain would like to see that all Pest Managers have the opportunity to become the best that they can be, and is committed to continuous improvement of those within the Pest Management Industry

Bruce along with Bernie Dekker have owned and operated a very diverse pest management business since 1997. He has been involved hands on for 20 years within the industry and providing training and assessment services for more than 10 years. Most of all he is a firm believer of sharing knowledge so that all within an industry may benefit and work towards a safer future.

Bernie Dekker – Owner / Administration / Student support services

Bernie has been effectively coordinating business operations for 20 years and ensures our customer service experience is always outstanding

John Field – Trainer and Assessor / Consultant

John, former owner of Fumigation Training and Consultancy Services (FTCS) and Pest Consultants (PESTC) brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that has been gained over the last 30 years in the industry. In addition, John can provide lead audit and consulting services for government and non-government organisations.
